Printer that can handle card

I'm looking for a printer that can handle card up to at least 200gsm.
Can anyone recommend a colour laser or inkjet that might fit the bill. I know some inkjets say they can handle up to 300-odd gsm but only on the company's own media. I want to be able to print on standard matt card and occasionally gloss paper/card.
At the moment I'm using an old HP Laserjet 4 for mono printing card which easily handles up to 200gsm. Trouble is I think the fuser is going as it's started ghosting and I fear it's not worth repairing now after 17 years sterling service (assuming I can get the parts). I also need to replace my old inkjet so was thinking of replacing both with one machine, either laser or inkjet.
I use the LJ4 for printing from an old DOS program (long since unsupported) so there won't be a printer driver available for any new printers. Is it possible to emulate the LJ4?
Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Our Epson SX415 has no problem with card..although it doesn't like too many sheets in at onceSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -

Thanks Esqui. My Deskjet 880C handles 160gsm really well just putting one sheet through at a time.
I can't get it to print in colour any more which is a shame as it's been a really good printer.0 -
Can the DOS program output postscript? If so you can use Ghostscript (with Redmon on Windows) to emulate a postscript printer.
A similar technique may also be possible using GhostPCL to emulate a PCL printer.0 -

Yes it can but there are lots of restrictions on substitute fonts etc which might make it impractical as I would have to do loads of tweeking.0 -
you need a printer that has a "straight" path through it - not one which wraps the paper in a u shape.
I have had epsons & canons recently that handle 200gsm card easily:)0 -
