Driving Entitlements

Hi guys,

Quick question. I've recently had a replacement licence through the post with the photo card showing Entitlements for B, B1 & fkp. The papercounterpart however also shows an entitlement for catagory A.

I'm a bit confused as to what that means, am I entitled to drive catagory A?

Also, what exactly is cat A? From the documentation it appears to be motorbikes upto 33bhp - is that 125cc, 500cc or what?

Just had a look at mine! The cats listed there are Provisional entitlements. So no, unless you have passed a test then you are not entitled.

Thanks for that, thats the info I read in the booklet accompanying the new licence.

I doesn't however answer the question of what a 33bhp bike is, or if I would be allowed to ride it as it currently stands (or, if I would require L plates for that matter)
