I've tried to get the answer to this, but even JobCentre can't give me a definitive answer
I'm sure MSEers will know, though :T
If you're on JSA, you need to wait 13 weeks before you become eligible to have your mortgage interest paid. If you claim benefit for, say, 6 weeks, then get work for, say 2 weeks, will the 6 weeks that you've waited count towards the 13 weeks, or will you need to start again?
TIA :A

Hi Penny,
if you fill in the form benefits adviser on the directgov website, assuming you are applying for JSA and have a mortgage, one of the questions is:
Have you or your partner received any of the following payments for 13 continuous weeks: • Income Support
• Jobseeker's Allowance
• Employment and Support Allowance
This looks like it needs to be continuous ie without a break.
BUT:
You might also find this worth a read, I found it on another forum, there's a link to a hefty DWP PDF in a later post, but I don't know if it's out of date or not.
It's only a game
