incapacity benefit please help

hi everyone .
this my first time on here and could use some help.i recently had to give up my flat of 15 years because i was intimidated out of my home because my girlfriend is a catholic and i am a protestant. ive been unable to work for the last 7 years and have been on incapacity benefit. now i have had to move in with my girlfriend and my benefit has been suspended. my girlfriend works full time and rents her own house.will my benefit be taken of me and if so what way does the system work if we are living together as a couple .please help thanks

I assume you are claim Incapacity Benefit with Income Support as a top-up?

If so then your IB will continue (Credits Only or otherwise) and your IS will cease as your partner is working more than 24 hours.

thanks for your help.will i be able to claim housing benefit.my partner works 37 hours per week

A claim can be made but whether anything is payable I dont know. I would doubt it somehow but I've never worked in housing benefit.

Yes if you are claiming Incapacity Benefit with IS your benefit will stop due to your girlfriends income. You are treated as a couple for Benefit purposes.

If you were claiming contributions based IB it would continue to be paid.
