hello.

i got a new 0% card from the BoS and wanted to transfer its balance to my Egg money card.
i used the admin area in egg money thinking that i was transferring money IN TO egg money. i then found my new BoS was in credit and my egg money was in debit, you realise i did it exactly the opposite way around to how i wanted to do it :o
luckily my egg money card was in credit for more overall, due to another stooze.
but then when i tried to send the in credit amount from my BoS card back to egg money, BoS said they dont BT to that card, so i thought "no problem" and BT to egg CARD instead.
problem now is, will i get charged a BT fee for moving money from Egg Money and how will i get the in credit money off my egg card?
i read somewhere that in credit money on the egg card will incur a BT fee!
so am i looking at a BT fee on both the egg money and egg card?
this will suck if its the case because that will be double the amount i will make in interest by stoozing the 0%.
the whole problem started when it wasnt very clear i was transferring from the egg money and not to it.

any advice/help?

thanks alot.

pfpf.

    any advice/help?

Before asking BoS to send the money to your Egg Card, you should have asked them to comply with their own T&C's (see section 7.6) - which say that they may return the 'in credit' amount back to the source card, ie Egg Money.

Re the 'BoS won't transfer from Egg Money' issue, several stoozers have reported the same problem when using the BoS online BT request. It's not clear whether HBoS have spotted the 'middle route' loophole, or whether they just can't recognise the first 6 identifying digits of the Egg Money card. Either way, anecdotal evidence seems to suggest that BT's are possible if you request them by phone.

Re getting the Egg Money money off the card, I've answered this in your other thread.

Re getting the Egg Card money off the card, since you're moving your own money I would argue that you shouldn't be charged a fee for a BACS transfer - as long as it only involves a transfer of a positive balance. However, check with Egg first. Be aware though, that at least one poster on these boards had his Egg account closed through misuse - and the more you talk to Egg, the more they'll look into your account activity!

Re the 'to' and 'from' confusion, you should always think of it as debt. You are moving debt (in the case of Egg Money, 'ficticious' debt), and the money flows the other way to repay it.

Finally, and take this the right way - it's meant to be constructive, are you sure you're ready for stoozing? Maybe you need to read up further?

In particular, your (pretty basic) Egg Money question in your other thread today (and also some of the questions in your post on this thread), and your comment "I think I read somewhere...", would indicate that you're not very good at finding and understanding information in provider T&C's. If you continue in this way, stoozing will cost, rather than make, you money - particularly with the widespread introduction of BT fees.
