I applied at the end of April, had my interview on 6 May and got my place the following week. I also got my exact choice of Halls accommodation (I asked for a room in my friend's old flat as it's nice and quiet, which is what I prefer).

That is quick then! My application should go in this week, it's in the hands of the college now and they said a couple of days, just have to get the tutors reference done..

I'm not sure if Leeds Met have interviews or not, some of the course details said not..

I will be staying in my own place, I looked at halls but it was minimum of £85 a week, and I only pay £325 in rent. Won't have to pay council tax. and Electric and water are £60 a month in total. So it's cheaper and easier for me to live at my own pad still. Plus, I'm 26 and not really a party animal.. lol

GeeGee, I'm 25 in October and far from a party animal. But I get cold in winter and now won't have to worry about the heating bills...and it's right in town so no bus fares to worry about.

I'll be working part time to survive...most people do!!

Yup, gonna be part time work for me too.. I love my snowboarding and so want to be able to go and do that as often as I can without my boyfriend having to pay for everything lol..

I've only ever worked full time, so I hope something comes up that will fit in. I guess everyone is in he same boat though, so there must be jobs about. :)

I work part time as a student ambassador. The pays good, the hours are good. I did this first and second year, and will go back in final year.

I also am doing a placement year (sandwich course), which has put me on £17k for this year. So saved quite a bit from that.
