car stereo code required

hi all,
i have a tale of woe when fitting a new battery to my car. i haven't got the radio code as it turns out having checked all the literature that came with the car :mad: it wouldn't be that important to me but it is to our son who has learning difficulties and it helps to keep him occupied on journeys. have manged to get the radio out but took it to my local renault dealer and they wanted a fortune to decode it, anyway moneys tight and im at me wits end any help gratefully recieved............
