It was Cahoot, but didnt think they were trading anymore. The address we have is PO Box 1982, Coventry, CV1 2ZD, so I was reluctant to send to a PO Box of a non trading company. The registered office on the paperwork is the Triton Square address for Abbey as it was 2004.

Hi and your welcome.

What you could do, is contact the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) and ask them, just to make sure, and they should or may have the correct address details for you.
At the same time, if they are no longer active, the FOS should suggest another way around this to make your reclaim.

The FOS have suggested the insurer/underwriter direction, if the business who sold the policy have gone bust, or were not regulated by the FSA, then this is the direction the FOS may suggest as the insurer would have been regulated.

But contact them first just to make sure, and take it from there.;)

However, I see that some have gone the Santander direction, maybe someone on here will post up more info on this for you, but otherwise it maybe a good idea to contact the FOS.
