Virgin are currently moving all emails of NTLWORLD and had email to follow, to use it through outlook express had to download software to continue getting the service. Since doing so, i now get duplicate emails, the same twice, everytime i get an email??
Ive looked on the virgin media support forum and all hell seems to have broken out with this virgin email change.
By reading many posts, im actually lucky to be getting my emails - so maybe wont moan about getting them twice too much!
So anyone else having problems with this?
....I feel a email nightmare brewing....?

But I don't use the Outlook Express method, I just log on at the virginmedia.com website.
No problems.

To make sure Outlook Express or other email programs keep working, you'll need to make a few quick changes before you start using your new Virgin Media Mail account. We've created a little software program to help you get it all sorted. And don't worry, your emails, messages and contacts won't be affected.

This is the part on the email about outlook...i did it and now get double emails. But think one will disappear as they are removing that server. So i guess if you dont do it then u will loose service....

Possible Problem With your Virginmedia Email
Hi all,
I have already posted this on other forums but thought that there would be value in posting it here as well........ I will also post two other items afterwards, which I hope will help.
Virginmedia migrated my email account over to Google GMAIL 2 weeks ago. They are doing this for everyone's Virginmedia email account; so if yours has not been done so already it will be done soon.
During the last weekend, I found out that there was a problem with the migration. My PC email client (in my case Outlook) wasn't receiving all of it's emails. I then logged onto my Virginmedia webmail account and found over 100 messages sitting in a folder called 'spam'. I then unspammed a couple of them and hey presto...my outlook client then picked them up. For info, I had no filters set up. I then phoned up customer services support to report the problem. They advised me that they have fixed it for me but to keep an eye open on my webmail spam folder. If I see another message in this folder, they advised me to give them a call back and my problem would be passed to 2nd line technical support. I'm not convinced they have fixed it and so will be looking periodically at my spam folder.
I have also requested compensation from them due to the above and am waiting to hear whether they will uphold my request.
I suggest that everyone checks their webmail account (Go to Virginmedia.com, select 'EMAIL' in top right hand corner, sign-on, select '4-more' folder on left hand side and you will then see your 'spam' folder) to see whether you have messages in their spam folder, which your PC email client software is not picking up. If you have this problem, I suggest report it to customer services and to request a refund.
I hope the above helps.0 -

Hi all,
Just to provide an update. Virginmedia have advised me that their webmail server automatically performs spam filtering and is the defualt setting for everyone's webmail account. It can be turned off but nobody knows how to do it. I have escalated within Virginmedia and will let you know as soon as I hear anything.
In the meantime, I suggest that everyone checks their webmail account as referenced in my previous posting.0 -

I have found the following workaround on the web :

As soon as I get a positive and confirmed fix from Virginmedia, I will advise you accordingly.0
