Good vacuum for cat litter?

hi all,

I've just about had it with my Vax Power II bagless upright vacuum which is just a terrible machine.

I'm therefore in the market for a decent vacuum cleaner (hopefully for under £70) which can deal with clay cat litter really well. Anyone got any recommendations please?

thanks in advance.

maybe i'm just lazy! I really fancy a fairly heavy duty hoover though for the rest of my house......

I also have a cat with a litter tray and my Bex Bissell copes wonderfully.
Unlike the Vax range it is solidly built, efficient and effective and I recommend it highly.:T

Ok I'll go along with this one, despite my reservations.:rotfl:

I would recommend a Henry. Can't beat it for heavy duty vacuuming. IMHO

Totally agree, I've got a Hetty and use it to hoover up the cat litter that gets kicked all over the floor with no problem.

Henrys are great, I miss our old one. Places like B&Q or Homebase sometimes do 10% off days too.

For cat litter I just use a dustpan and brush though. Or you could try a little handheld vacuum for a tenner, this was useful for cleaning up wood shavings around the cage when we had a hamster.
