"switching is easy" they promise.. 5/18 direct debits went wrong.. not lloyds' fault though ... 5 companies independently made co incidental mistakes they say. A shambles - avoid them. Alliance and Leics here I come..

Recently switched and have to say Lloyds were fantastic - they transferred the DD's almost too quickly as my salary hadn't been transferred across at the time so almost went overdrawn before I had actually started using the account. Must have been about 20 DD's transferred across and the only one that went dodgy was npower electricity, which both Lloyds and npower blame each other
Having said that 5 out of 18 is not on at all. You should complain to a manager on the helpline or even go into your bank and demand some compensation - otherwise as you say you will go elsewhere.0 -
I wouldn't bank with Lloyds again if they paid me, though it was a few years ago that I banked with the useless bunch of idiots, though with all the trouble I was having they decided to ban me from their branch, because they weren't happy that other customers were hearing what incompetence the bank was, and some did decide to close their accounts too, because they were having slight problems too, but thought they'd get out as my problems may happen to them too.
Had the last laugh though, I ended up being a service engineer for their computers and had to go in and sort their problems out, it was no wonder they were useless they were using computer systems over 20 years old and they just couldn't cope.
Out of all the banks I have been with Lloyds were definitely the worst. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
