Co-Op basic account - for bankrupts.
CANNOT be used at pay at pump, tried it at a couple, says card not accepted.
Hope that helps.
Also cannot be used for Tesco online.
They are Visa Debit now, but still classed as Electron until 2011 or something, said Co-op customer services.
Otherwise, a very good service from co-op.9/70lbs to lose

Is your card a Servicecard? (Has Cheque Guarentee). The card on the basic account cannot be used at pay at the pump as far I am aware.0 -

If your Co-Op Visa Debit starts 4508 its not going to work at Pay at Pump or Tesco Online.0 -
Yep - 4508
It's now a Visa Debit card, but still the same as an electron card for now.9/70lbs to lose

I've not got one, but I've read that if you put it through as a "normal" Visa then it gets accepted at Tesco online.
I've not tried it as I don't shop online and don't have a Co-op Visa but worth trying and seeing what happens...?Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 2014

You definitely can't use a Nat West Visa Debit card at garages at the Pay at the Pump machines - I know, I've tried
You can use it if it says servicecard 100 on the front of it.izzybusy23 wrote: »Yes you can, I did it tonight and it gave me a £99 limit to fuel my car with!
OK let me clarify:
You definitely can't use a Nat West Visa Debit card from a Nat West Step Account (Basic Bank Account) at garages at the Pay at the Pump machines - I know, I've tried - and it is in the terms and conditions of the Step Account
The OP was asking about Basic Account Visa Cards - I think a lot of people on here are talking about ordinary VISA cards
