help!!
i have recently had my electricity meter changed over at the request of edf energy (my supplier), only the new meter they have installed makes a noise every time i use electricity. the engineer has been back out and swapped it over but says that's just the noise they make. whilst it is not a bellowing sound it can be heard over the tv and is really starting to annoy me. i have been back in touch with edf and they say there is nothing they can do as the meter is not faulty. as we speak i am waiting for their customers services manager to call me back - i'm not holding my breathe! but in the meantime has anyone else had any problems like this and what did they do, or can anyone advise me how i can get the problem resolved.
thanks x

Are you sure it's the meter? If you can here it over a TV it sounds too loud to be a meter, particulary if it's a digital one as these should be silent.
It may well be a door bell transformer on the way out, they can be annoyingly noisy.0 -
no definetly the meter, unfortunately it's not a digital one, but one of the newer meters. still no response from edf about what they plan to do!0
