same day EPC energy performance certificate - is this possible?

is it possible to produce a same day epc and either email it or print it off assuming the assessor has access to internet in the property or mobile broadband? what is the process and why do some companies say 3 days?

    Ask them.
In theory it should be very quick.

no, what I mean is it possible for the client to receive the EPC in their hands the same day as the assessor comes around?

Yes - we do it all the time. No remote viewing/guesstimating here. We actually go out, talk to the client, explain what its about and get the electronic copy back to the client the same day.

I wouldn't advise it. You need to be work out floor areas/heat loss perimeters, and need a small amount of time for reflection.

A couple of hours, is certainly a possibility however.

Lodgement fee is dependent on the accreditation scheme the assessor is with. Factor in approx £7.00 lodgement. Add to that insurance and travel costs (for starters). Then consider your £25.00! Doesn't sound viable to me.

www.hcrregister.com can be used to check that an assessor is registered.

Lodgement fees can be as low as £3.50 + £1.15 landmark fee.

Insurance is included in those fees.

Travel? Bus, bike or walk.. if its far use a car.

£25 an hour seems like good wages to me.

    Thanks for the reply though.

Lucky you, I have just been told I have to pay £94.80 (which includes the VAT) and that is for a one bedroom tiny terraced cottage that I rent out. I don't need the certificate in a hurry either - but that is why I am looking at this site today! Thank you Martin!:A
