Buying property in Dubai

My dream is to buy a 2nd property in Dubai. Do any moneysavers own property out there? Where do I start? What are the pros/cons? Can I get a mortgage to buy property abroad?
There is nothing I can be, do or HAVE!!!!!!!!

    If you are buying for investment puposes, you are about 6 years too late to make any money in Dubai.

    If you are buying it for yourself, hope you like hot weather

    I have spent a bit of time in Dubai and the middle east. The standard of construction in a lot of cases is poor because there is so much stuff being built so quickly.

    for short holidays dubai is ok otherwise any investment, especially property market is just hype there. I've tried this option a year ago and all my friends (who settled there) discouraged me
