My cars been wrote off, A little advice about payout

yes i did put down a value
but as said just below your post it doesnt mean a thing nowadays unless you get an agreed vaule policy which insurers gerally dont want to give unless its an extremly rare car or a clasisic car ect[/QUOTE]
I know it doesn't make a difference to the payout but if you put down the value as £5000 then you would be able to say to the insurance "why did you accept the valuation if you didn't think the car was worth anything like my valuation".
Just another bullet to fire. Agreed value policy usually costs a lot more and you have to have photographic proof and may need an independent valuation.
From what I know of japanese imports they are a cheaper alternative to european models eg Mazda Eunos cheaper than MX5, Pajero cheaper than Shogun. The ones without a european equivalent eg Lexus Soarer, Mitsubishi FTO and GTO
need specialist insurance with agreed valuation, but of course that doesn't come cheap.
I think you have an uphill battle on your hands, but I wish you well.
