Npower - anyone changed tariff online recently?

as our SOL10 was coming to an end i applied online to change to SOL18 on 27th April as this was still working out cheapest for our area.

i've had the confirmation letters today, electricity is confirmed as being on the new tariff from 27.04.10 but gas won't change until 02.06.10? what am i missing as i can't understand why there's a difference in the dates...

i appear to be talking to myself , but just in case anyone might have the same problem in the future...

as SOL18 states you must contact via email, i fired my query on the gas date off yesterday. i've had a quick reply this afternoon which states gas & elec on new tariff wef 27.4.10, but, they've now quoted a reading for electricity & it's different to the one i provided, also no explanation as to why the date of 02.06.10 was quoted on the confirmation i received! :wall:

so, i've sent another email asking for further clarification & where did they get that reading from...

I have changed twice with them and both times the gas and electric have had different dates! Might be something to do with the billing cycle. If you do not supply a reading they just estimate!
