Bluebadge holders map

Don't know if this has been posted before but thought it could be benifical to some of the members on board who like me are classed as disabled who have relatives who are disabled.

http://www.direct.gov.uk/DisabledPeople/MotoringAndTransport/MotoringAndTransportArticles/fs/en?CONTENT_ID=10038295&chk=6ICq1Z

It shows some parking places around the country for disabled parking.

Thanks for that andrew71. Just wondered if you had a blue badge whether you can use it anywhere. If your blue badge is issued in Cheshire can it be used in lancashire or even scotland or wales. Sorry if it is a silly question. Thanks.

yes you can use your blue badge in all over england\scotland\wales but there are some restrictions in parts of london, but these are laid down in the booklet that came when you first recived your blue badge. If you did not receive one then your local council will gladly provide one to you.

    hope this helps.

Yep you can use your badge anywhere in the UK no matter where it was issued. In Scotland you do not need the clock.

You can actually use it all over Europe in any EC country.

Just been going through some of my old posts and thought I would bump this one up as it may be beneficial to some new members.
  • Can I just add a little hijack? I know a lot of local councils are looking to start charging Blue Badge holders to park in public car parks.
This should take you to mobilise who are running a campaign

I actually don't mind if we have to pay. We get money so if we have to pay we will do. Most disabled drivers would rather pay if it meant that a parking space was available nearer the entrance etc of where they wanted to go.
