It's impossible not to! I used sheets but some gets through every time.
Any ideas how to get it off?
Many thanks

I always step into the paint tray when I'm painting and invariably manage to then walk on carpet..If it's just emulsion it should come off easily if you sponge it with carpet shampoo/washing up liquid or the magical properties of stardrops.
The last time I painted the living room I managed to tip half a tin of cream emulsion paint over a cream carpet, a newly cleaned cream carpet at that. Managed to clean it all up though.0 -
We always find for emulsion paint, if dry to wet, then use carpet cleaner and shampoo!

when i am painting i keep a pack of asda smartprice wipes with me they are great for removing splashes, gloss and emulsion, also for cleaning your hands after, only cost 49p0

try soaking it with hot water or if you have a wallpaper steamer give the patches a blast of steam , this should soften the paint up and then you can give it a scrub to remove the paint0
