Is this a Lackey Moth nest?

Pretty certain this is a Lackey moth nest....can anyone confirm.
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=31293373&l=037b000738&id=1265672228 (sorry can't post the picture) also I have read & it looks like they only really munch hawthorn & bramble (they are on hawthorn) is that right?

They are on a tree to the side of our garden, but above an area of shrubs, so if they fall they will be in the shrubs, but not have far to go to the copse at the side which is full of what looks to be their favourite food.
