How can I use Dell Inspiron Mini 10 for Internet browsing in Spain?

Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron Mini which I think is fantastic.
At home I use WiFi to connect to my home broadband.
I go to Spain for 3 or 4 weeks in total during the year and want to connect whilst there. I know I can find free Wifi places but I want to use it whereever.
I know I can put a card in the slot behind the battery, but does anyone know a cheap card I can buy to use in Spain? I assume it can't be a normal phone SIM?
Any advice on things to check out, or options?
Thanks.

Are you suggesting that it has a built in 3g modem?0

Get mobile internet and make sure you have roaming enabled with your provider......
May or may not work with you mobile sim depends on your package and whether your provider will allow it. Either way you need to contact them.
Alternatively, leave you PC at home, after all you are going on holiday I presume, put your feet up and relax, drink some cocktails by the pool and forget about your Facebook account for a while....:DTo travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0 -

Please ignore tomsolomon's terrible advice.0 -
Not sure what the coverage is like in Spain, might be worth checking to see if there is a transmitter nearby, the Spanish aren't very technologically advanced, they still drive round on donkeys. If you have been there before and your mobile phone works chances are the mobile broadband will work also.To travel at the speed of light, one must first become light.....0

They have far better mobile phone coverage than we do here in third world UK.:)0 -
I took my very lovely red Dell mini to Australia this year and used it loads - the 'usual' method of connection there is a dongle. We could even Skype over it to family back here.
Don't know anything about Spain!0 -

All I know is when I bought the Dell it had a Vodaphone sim installed directly into a slot behind the battery which meant I should have been able to use the WEB free for one month - after that I would have had to pay.
It was never activated and I didn't bother trying as I had WiFi at home.
I suppose I could do the same and put a chip the same as the ones you buy with internet dongles directly into the netbook. But I wouldn't want to do that with one I bought in this country as it would be too expensive to use in Spain.
I am not sure if they do pay as you go in Spain, and also not sure but I assume it isn't just a normal SIM you use - it has to have special software etc.

Try putting another SIM into the slot. You may need to install generic connection software rather than the Vodafone software currently installed.
I have no information about the PCI card installed on your machine, so can't be sure of which software to recommend.
Try another SIM and see if the Vodafone software allows you to enter the connection settings manually. If not, you may need other software. Here is an alternative.0
