London Bikers: Bikes in bus lanes due to end soon

Couldn't see this posted anywhere, I just saw an ad on the tube stating the 18 month trial period of letting motorcycles use red route bus lanes is due to expire very shortly - 18 months from 5th January 2009

Looks like my commute is going to take 1/2 as long again

Yet more money being spent on signs.

I remember when it started and the A41 into Central London had allowed bikes in the bus lane for years. Suddenly the signs changed to the new normal bus lane sign with no motorbike.

Then a few weeks later the signs changed back to new ones with a motorbike on them.
