hi guys,

we are going abroad to tunisia next year. we have a little one and he will be nearly 18 months when we go over. I am looking to get a net for his cot which the hotel provide but have no idea what size to look for. Does anybody know what size they generally use? I dont know if anyone can be this specific but we are staying in the abou sofiane hotel in Tunisia.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Can't you find an old net curtain.

I took my 11 month old to Tunisia a few years back in June and we never had any probs with mozzies - they normally bite me to oblivion, but none at all.

If you do decide you need one, the hotel cot was not normal UK 120 x 60 size, nor UK travel cot size. I don't think you'll be able to find an exact fit for the size in this country unless it is a large size with strings to tie it to fit.

I would buy one of those IKEA bed nets and mark out the rectangle of the top of the cot and then measure the height from the top to bars to under the mattress base and add that on. Make a turn-up hem all the way around the edge with a sewing machine and thread some elastic through it. Use the cot you have at home as a template.

It does say 'This product is not suitable for children under 7 years' but I think that's if you left it as a 'hanging decoration'.
