Train Seat Reservations

I have Advance tickets from Crewe to Glasgow, with a change in Preston. However, my seat reservation ticket says Crewe to Carlisle, and then another seat for Carlisle to Glasgow. Both are on Virgin Trains if that makes any difference.

Now, does this mean I have the same seat (but on a different train) from Preston to Carlisle, and then just change (within the same carriage on the same train) to the different seat after Carlisle? Or, has there been a mistake somewhere?

If this is a mistake, does anyone know of a number/email address in which to contact them?

By the look of it your changing at Carlisle not Preston, what time train do you catch from Crewe?

Here's the info for contact details for Virgin Trains

It's the 19.09 train from Crewe, and after checking again it's definitely Preston where I'll change.

How strange, just had a look myself on the Virgin Trains fare finder and its says change at Preston but the East Coast fare finder says change at Carlisle.

I would advise which ever train website you used to purchase your tickets then phone up the customer services quoting the booking number and see what they say about it or go to Crewe station and ask them for some advise about your tickets

Hmm, that is strange! I checked the National Rail site as well and it said Preston. The East Coast site is giving me the exact same times as well. Very odd.

I think I'll be calling Virgin tomorrow to ask. Thank you.

Edit: Just checked my online booking details, and it has it down as Crewe to Carlisle, which makes sense. Now just to find the right train that I should be getting on.
