Catproofing the house and other advice!

Well I said I would upload some more photos so thought I would give a quick update too.
They have settled in extremely well. No hiding away, even when we got the dustbuster out to hoover litter up, not too much scratching on the carpet (they give up that quickly if we don't respond, hooray!). Eating, drinking and pooping well! Still sneezing from the flu but no runny eyes or nose so hopefully they're well on the mend.
We have been woken once each night, about 4am, by them thumping about. But each time we just popped in for a minute and just said quietly "go to sleep, go to sleep" (a la supernanny!) and then they calmed down and we had no more noise until we got up at 7:30. Yesterday they were left alone in the room from 8:30 until 5:30 and although I was fretting all day they seem to have been perfectly happy (I left Radio 4 on for them!).
So we're impressed with their behaviour, especially as they are clearly desperate to get out of the spare room - so far we have just let them have crazy times down the landing and stairs to burn off energy. Don't want to push their restraint though, so this evening we'll let them come downstairs and then we'll put them back in the spare room for the night and possibly tomorrow while we're at work (I want to observe them downstairs for a while to make sure they're safe etc).
The black one we have decided to stick with Delilah - it suits her - but it'll be shortened to Lila. It's great seeing her start to play a bit, and with two of us they can both get attention - the tortie just HAS to get involved when we try to give Lila a fuss. The tortie we're still struggling with a name! any suggestions welcome!
Anyway so this is Lila
The tortie having a cuddle (this was about 5 mins after we got home, ahh)
She LOVES the laptop. In particular the little round icons on the bottom left of the windows 7 screen as you can see here... And chasing the mouse pointer around. In fact anything that moves she is obsessed with, even the second hand on my watch! she's going to be very easy to entertain, this one!
Trying to get rid of some energy before we left for work this morning (sorry it's blurry, they were moving too fast for crappy iphone camera!)
Thanks for looking & all the advice.0 -
They are cuties, thanks for the pics.
Cats love laptops, I've had to edit a few posts on MSE due to cats jumping on the keyboard0
