Hi all, quick question. Is housing benefit if on a part time course at college and a part time job? or will just have to get serveral jobs instead to make rent up and forget any help. Thanks

You'd need to be over 25 and working 30 hours or more (unless you have a disability) to be eligible for wtc.

What qualifications do you have and what level of course are you considering?

Yes, I think you could claim housing benefit if your income was low enough, depending on the course and any funding available.

You should be able to get HB/CTB though.

Have you had a look at www.entitledto.co.uk - should give you some idea of what you can get if you worked part time.

Can a part-time worker claim Housing Benefit or is it only full-time workers on a low income wage?

Part time workers can also claim HB/LHA.

So if I decided to not be on any other benefits and just got a part-time job while doing a part time course I could receive HB/CTB?

As are you to tell what was written in the OP so that people can give you answers, Im always suspicious when OPs have information removed because it dosnt make sense.
