Hello everyone, I really hope someone can help with this. I want to be able to upload photos onto my computer, edit them and then transfer them back onto a memory card. I have got one of those funky digital frames which display the photos for my brothers wedding and I want to be able to give him a memory card with wedding photos to display on it.
So I found a card reader/writer (Bytestor multi card reader) on Amazon with really good reviews which sounded like it would do the job. But I can't work out how to transfer photos back onto the card - I can transfer them to the computer no problem but not back again.
The description and all the reviews say it is a read/writer but it only says reader on it, the link is http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000AYVIHK/026-9148232-2036436?v=glance&n=560798
Please someone help! Thanks

When you plug it in it should appear as a drive on "My Computer" to transfer the pictures do a save as from the file menu and choose the drive to save to.0

Be careful doing this, I've been told that cameras aren't supposed to be used this way and you can corrupt your pics.
I would suggest reformatting the memory card from time to time to keep it ship-shape.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0

It's perfectly OK to write your edited pictures back onto the memory card, the computer simply sees it as memory to write to!frivolous_fay wrote:I would suggest reformatting the memory card from time to time to keep it ship-shape.
Do you re-format your PC's hard drive from time to time to keep it ship-shape?

 good point well made expresso.
 Glad its resolved for you.
If you want to look at all your drives and just drag and drop your photo's.
Right mouse click on your start button,
 Left mouse click on explore.
 you have 2 windows,
Left hand on - folder tree
Right hand one details of the folder.
You can drag and drop from one to another very easily.

Hello all, I have a follow-up question. I can now transfer photos back on to my reformatted memory card, and I they are definitely on there because I can see them if I try to transfer them back to the computer and I can see them on my brothers digital frame, which was the whole point in the first place.
However, I can't see them on my camera. When I try to review, it says there is nothing on the card and would I want to switch to internal memory. I want to be able to show them to my relatives when I go on holiday so I need to be able to review them.
Any ideas why this would be and what I should do?
 Thanks for your help

This will be because they have not been put in the expected directory, so the camera can't see them. You will need to re-format the card in the camera and then copy over your pictures from the PC into the same directory that the camera stores them in. i.e. not in the root directory of the memory card.

            Erm - how do I do that?0

You should be able to find how to format the card from your camera, in the manual. In mine for instance it is in the setup menu under card format.0
