E.ON - Clubcard Points Reduced

Has anyone else with a recent bill found E.ON have not posted the Tesco ClubCard points at the usual rate of 1 per £1? I'm on FixOnline NSC, ending 01/06/2010; continious customer since August 2007 (before the change in T&C's).

My latest bill (15/05/2010) has shows 96 clubcard points earned - despite there being £48 x 3 months (£144) of DD collections made; seems 48 points short to me.

This is neither at the 1 per £1 or 1 per £2 rates - looks like they've only counted 2 of the 3 DD payments in relation to ClubCard points. In case its of relevance, the balance at end of this bill is £48.96 (I don't think this is important, as the points have always been based on payments made in the past).

If I ask for this to be corrected, will I even get them posted, as my next bill will probably be my last? (planning to move away from E.ON).

Thanks for any pointers...

what you will find has probably happened is that the bill was printed the same day that the dd payment was recieved by e-on so the other 48 tesco points will show on the next bill.

also after payments have been made it takes a few days for points to be passed to tesco to be allocated so this could be another reason.

just ring tomorrow and check if this is the case, there is normally a very simple reason, hope this helps.

    Thanks for the reply.

I saw this info on the site, but the DD was 04/05/2010 & bill 15/05/2010, so doesn't explain it...
Points awarded are based on your monthly payments and are allocated 7 days after your payment is made. Points allocated may change if your payment amount changes and may be carried over to your next statement if a payment is made within 7 days of the statement being produced.

Do you know if they will get added to my next bill if I phone, particularly if I expect my next bill to be my final? (T&C's say no clubcard points on the final bill). If I'm not likely to get them due to final bill, I won't bother telephoning.

you should be able to get the 48 points added as they should have featured on that bill but what you wont get is any dd or online discount on a final bil or any further points as mentioned in terms and conditions so make sure you give readings for a final bill as close to your previous bill as possible to lose the least discount.if you dont want to ring just send an email.

if you want bigger discounts switch to the latest version of fix online, v8 gives a far larger discount but you wouldnt get tesco points because of the larger discount offered.

always check comparison sites to see which deal is best for you as new tariffs appear all the time for every supplier.

as you currently have an online account you can also aplply for a free energy monitor with energyfit which is only available to the first 50,000 customers to apply, why there is a limit god only knows but hey a freebies a freebie.
