Hi - I've been advised to apply for ESA by manager of local jobcentre, as I am suffering from depression/anxiety due to IBS (some days worse than others) - she said I obviously wasn't up for full time work, or to be able to travel up to hour and half each way for job. (Currently receiving JSA)
I'm seeing GP this Tuesday, but have no idea what ESA is, as have worked all my life till job finished 31 Dec last.
Any advice what to do next will be gratefully received
Thanks for any replies.

ESA is a sickness benefit.
You'll need to get a sickline from your doctor.0
