Have stayed here several times, maybe not the cheapest but very central and clean and comfortable.. is about 3 tube stops away from Piccadilly Circus ( one line change)

Well, not much more than £100 PP. As I am paying for 3 of us and also paying for three tickets for a show too.

It isn't very close location wise but only 5 mins or so on the tube (we stayed there two weeks ago!), I would recommend The Grange St Paul's hotel highly, we absolutely loved it. We booked it as a lastminute.com secret room (googled and used the thread on here so we knew which it was) for £200 total for a superior room for two nights room only. We were upgraded to an Executive for free on check in, actually there are some decent deals through the grange website itself inc breakfast but we went to Ozzie's cafe on Ludgate hill for a proper fry up (and were so stuffed we didn't eat again until 8pm!).

There is a premier inn at county hall, right next to the london eye - its on the other side of the london eye ticket office but in the same building. If you are paying for 3 adults you will need 2 rooms but if someone is under 15 you can have one room. Prices vary from £69 upto about £120 but thats for the room not pp. As far as reviews go its pretty good for london... http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g186338-d210361-Reviews-Premier_Inn_London_County_Hall-London_England.html

I have just booked to stay here with the kids for £69 in summer holidays! I guess its not to everyones tastes but I think its going to be pretty hard if not impossible to beat that location for that price!!
  • i have to say if you are tight on a budget then the easyhotel is pretty cheap. tiny but basic and has all you will need.
i stayed in a double room with a window (yes you pay for a window!) for 3 days with my boyfriend for £37 a night.
