I asked CCCS this as I am training to be a teacher. They said it was up to the headteacher if they ask, but looks like there's some people who know more about it here. Thanks0

when i got myself in a mess spoke to union and cccs as work in finance they told me maybe get legal advice re contract in the end came clean with work and they helped me out phew but this detracts from this poor persons situation. till i came clean the cccs were the best people for me they handled the situation for 6 mths with me but could not go on as most of debt with employers.. Wishing you all best i am positive it will work out though. Thanks to all :A
Sealed pot challenge 2011 number 1406 .....Target £150 for Christmas
spc total 2011 = £120 -
It will make no difference. In fact, there would be no need to mention it, if I was asked I would refuse to answer the question, as a normal teacher you are not in a position of financial responsibility on a day to day basis.
Would probably be different if you were a headteacher/responsible for a budget.0 -
I am a teacher (primary) have some managerial responsibilites but non financial, I am now bankrupt but having spoke to ATL and the GTC it has no impact upon your abilities to teach and don;t even mention it unless asked. If any parents happen to search the insolvency register for your name (quite why they would be doing this is beyond me) then just tell them its none of their business but if they would like to discuss their childs education then your more than welcome.

I'm a teacher and bankruptcy doesn't effect your job in anyway, not as if your in charge of money!
Mentioning searching your name for the register, my name no longer comes up for some reason!!!Discharged B/R Dec 2009 :T0
