I bought one of these last year, and have only just got round to taking it out of the box and looking at it. Read the instructions and plugged it in, but can't seem to get it to work. Apparently the light comes on when you press down on the sealer and then goes off when its sealed. My light doesn't come on at all, and having pressed down, nothing is happening, it isn't even warm. I thought the light should come on straight away and then when it's reached the right temperature, its ready to use. has anyone else bought one of these who can help. May just be faulty and I'll have to take it back to Lidl and buy one elsewhere.

I have found the receipt for this item, which I bought in Dec 09. I have checked Lidl's website and there is nothing about their Returns Policy (receipt says 28days). I have found a lot of complaints from customers saying Lidl refused to take things back even when faulty, which I wouldn't think they would be allowed to do. Has anyone else had this problems returning faulty Electrical Goods to them?0

Further to this..... I took the item back to Lidl who would not give me a refund, initially they said because it was over 28days. They told me I had to ring Customer Services, who would then tell me to bring it back for a refund. I asked them to ring, so that I wouldn't have to go back & forward, but they wouldn't. I rang the number (while I was in the store) but it went to voicemail, so I went home and emailed. They replied almost immediately and told me to take it back where they would be 'happy' to refund me, which they did, but what a nonsense, and a pain. They even quite proudly informed me that they'd sent people away with big TV's, only for them to come back again with it for a refund. They should display their Returns Policy in the Store or on their receipts. I won't be buying any non-perishable goods from them again.0

You did have a lot of bother would indeed put you off but unless they have changed their policy the problem could have been the local stores fault.
Quite a while ago, about a year or so, I returned something to them that was faulty and well past the 28 days and had no bother at all the store put the amount back into my credit card as that was the way I had paid for the goods.
They are not doing themselves any favours especially in the financial climate. Hate shops that have such a terrible response when returning goods for whatever reason.:j Norn Iron Member 303 :j0
