one of my Logitek X-230 speakers not working

I hav a Logitek 2 speaker set for my laptop (the sort with the sub as well) and recently 1 of the smaller speakers has stopped working, any ideas? Was only £30 from the internet but gave good sound, and didnt want to throw them away of its a quick fix

Can you swap them round? i.e. are there separate L/R connections for them?
If so, swap them, and if the faulty one works again it shows that the problem isn't the speaker itself, but the wiring or your sound card.
If the software for your sound card allows you to swap channels, try that, and see if the problem changes sides.
Assume you've checked the connections, that everything is securely plugged in?0
