Radishes.....how long until ready...no growth for a wk & pale leaves??!

I've mixed in the crystals as I'm afraid my compost is mega-cheap (BM bargains!) & does not seem to hold water at all! Do you think the french breakfast radishes will be ok for all summer growing? My patio/garden is n. facing & gets sun from say 2-30pm this time of the year.....full sun is maybe only till 6-30/7 then partial shade, do you think that'll be ok for salad veggies & french breakfast radishes? Thanks for the help so far!0
