Was this the quickest PPI result ever???

I found an old Loan document from the Halifax in my garage dated from 1999/2000 showing £1100 Insurance added on top of a personnel loan. I photocopied the original, completed the FOS questionaire ( as advised by Martyn ) and wrote a letter asking for my PPI/Insurance back. Posted the letter at the beginning of May2010 (recorded delivery) I recieved a reply on the 6Th May2010 saying they are looking into it. I then recieved another letter dated 11th May 2010 saying, they had passed my details to the redress team who will work out what I am owed and this morning 15th May2010 I recived a cheque for £1400 (just over) WOW!!!
I actually expected nothing so I m totally amazed from finding a very old doc I have £1400!!
So keep at it... I m still stunned!!!
:D
