We have liked our Volvo Estates so does anyone have views on the XC90?

For your budget I couldn't really recommend a Range Rover. It would be one of the very earliest of the current model and reliability will be an issue. Performance from the 3l diesel is only adequate and fuel consumption will be pretty awful.

Don't even think about one of the previous models, their reliability can often be dire.
