Help and Advice needed please

Ran an update for garmin satnav Maps from Garmin web site. Update provided by (ATI Technologies)

Tried to run Malware for a scan an every time it runs it freezes in same place. ATI/CIM/BIN64\INSTALL MANAGER APP EXE
Tried to run it on number occassions freezes in same place.
Have re installed Malware no joy.

Tried to run Mcafee that freezes in same place $RBV02fl.dim.

Have run system restore from point that had no problems no joy.

Also cannot connect to internet when scans taking place.I cant even close them.

I cant even close them using task manager as it wont open it just stays at the bottom of laptop.

Can connect to internet as normal any other time

Personally, I would leave them alone. Many seem to involve files in the windows/system32 directory which ~may~ be used by several different programs - it's possible to seriously screw things up if you delete the wrong files there.

Back to your original problem, I don't understand why you appear to be getting an update provided by ATI from the Garmin website. AFAIK, ATI make graphics adapters in the main, so I don't understand the link between the two...
