We've recently opened the AA Savings online account (operated by Birmingham Midshires).

Drew nest egg out of Coventry BS into Barclays current account, then have been making online payments from Barclays into AA savings.

Many credits have been turning up twice each, firstly as faster payments, then same day or sometimes a day later as bank giro credits.

Neither Barclays nor Birmingham Midshires admit to any problem both blaming each other and even us, but deducted the first five duplicate credits as "corrections" after numerous calls to both helplines and a visit with print-outs to my local Barclays branch.

Since when another duplicate has shown up of a more recent credit.

I haven't made any further calls to either helpline as both have been unhelpful and the original problem obviously hasn't been addressed. We're £5k up at present.

Anybody else had similar "issues" during this past week?

    Update:

Barclays have sent me a letter saying that they have investigated the matter fully and the problem must be after the funds were received into Birmingham Midshires holding account.

I have had no further response from Birmingham Midshires so I can only assume that they couldn't care less that we are still £5k up.
Hope it's still there when we close the account at the end of the introductory 12 month bonus period. :)
