Whenever I try to click on a techical information link, or if I click to open a PDF file I get the message:

Microsoft encountered a problem and has to close, report this to Microsoft etc.

Can anyone help me to get rid of this very annoying problem please.
PS I have Windows XP Pro if this helps.

    Expresso,
Thank you for the reply, and I apologise for the delay at replying but I have been away. I tried downloading the latest version of Adobe Acrobat but unfortunately it didn't solve my problem. Any other ideas please?

When the error box appears next, there should be a 'click here' at the bottom of the box; click it and tell us what it says (it should be specific info on the error).

I have followed your advice Albatross, but I can't test to see if it works as I can't remember a page where I wanted to download a PDF file!:rotfl:
I know I know I am a mess! WHEN I can find a PDF file to test, I will post back and let you know..................and I will also copy the error message
    Zahc. Thank you
