Moving Atlantic to SE Standing charge or no standing charge?? - confused

My current supplier is Atlantic for both gas and electric, we pay a little over £8p a month for electric and £50 for gar for a 3 bed semi and a family of four. This month Atlantic made a payment in to our bank account, when I queries it they said that tarrif I'm on I pay a little more on the tariff but in month 13 I get a payment back on both gas and electric equivalent to my average payment to them, so like getting a month free. Now we are in debt on both accounts to Atlantic and I never thought we were particularly high users so this explains a lot. So I got talking to the lady on the phone about this and she suggested moving to Southern Electric go direct tarrif, as they are same company so we can transfer our debt over, pay the same as we do now but actually then be reducing our debt, not leaving it static as we are now.
Thing is when I go to change on their website it asks if I want a standing charge or not, now I always thought standing charges were a no no but it says that NO standing charge is suitable for very low users.
So my question is standard charge or no standard charge???

IMO in most cases it works out pretty well the same, but for low users the "no standing charge" version is more favourable. No charges unless power is used.
Just do the maths;)0
