New E-shop - how to generate traffic

I have just finished my online store and its now up and running. I need to learn how to generate some traffic to my store with as little cost as possible (free if i can).

Does anyone have any good tips i can implement?

Advertise in newspapers and magazines. You can take out smaller adverts than usual. Instead of advertising your products, just say briefly what you are about and give the web address.

To reply to Astaroth it is a jewellery site with ethnic/boho style pieces. I have googled jewellery shops loads of time and found nothing like we are selling. I have ebayed an item at a discount price to attempt to drive customers to the site.

Poser i will check that site out now.
