Thinking of buying a new LCD TV with freeview built in for my bedroom. Will the freeview works with just my existing tv aerial? I have got sky+ downstairs. Thanks

We won't be able to tell whether your existing aerial will be good enough.
Could you borrow a Freeview box from someone just to test your reception?
What's your analogue reception like through the aerial? Does your TV downstairs have an aerial feed into it?Dave. :wave:0 -
You can check http://www.freeview.co.uk/availability/main/index/landing to see if you can get freeview in your area, but like Phantom Flan Flinger said, I'd borrow a set top box from someone if possible to see what your actual reception is like.0

I have actually got a freeview box with the other portable TV in each bedroom and it is working fine. I used to get film 4 but not anymore. I guess, it is just a matter of plug in and it should automatically install by itself. Thanks0

Most tvs inbuilt freeview systems dont work as well as external boxes for picking up on weak signals:idea:0
