easyJet ash expenses

I got stuck in Germany for two days due to the ash cloud last month. As it was a business trip my employer arranged a refund for the flight.

However I've just recieved my personal phone bill which is £20+ above what I normally pay due to calls / internet use whilst stuck over there.

Is it possible to claim these back through easyJet and if so is anyone aware of how I can do this?

!!!!!! why not claim for your laundry, food and drink too?

You might even get compensation for having to spend a few extra days away from your family.

you didn't have to use your phone, therefore you can't expect anyone to pay it for you.

ha ha, it's pernickety I know. However I have heard that other people claiming to have been refunded for such expense.

I did have to use it to arrnage alternative travel home (hire car and euro tunnel), I also had to make calls home that I wouldn't have had to make if I'd travelled back as planned.

As you were there for work, why not claim from your employer?

If your employer booked and paid for the flight I suspect it may have to be them that claim. As already said, as it was a business trip claim on your expenses as you will possibly be entitled to more that way than from the airline (only 2 calls).
