Monobloc bathroom sink tap dripping

My monobloc bathroom sink tap is dripping. I've taken the thing apart twice now but there seems little to repalce in the way of washers, etc.

Can these be repaired and if so what needs to be done. It seems to be a nylon circle with quarters cut out that restricts the flow.

Is my only option to buy a new tap?

    You have ceramic disc type taps, you will need to replece the cartridge.

    Take off tap head, remove tap cartridge and take it to a good plumbers merchant for a replacement £4-£5.

    Dont forget to turn the water off 1st.;)
    A thankyou is payment enough .

    Blimey plumb1 you're being a bit optimistic or do I always get the dodgey taps?
    To the OP:
    1. Hopefully your tap isn't a cheap import that you can't get parts for, then
    2. You can find a matching insert. For a "few" examples see http://www.lunns.net/tapspares/cartridges.htm
    3. Hope they cost nearer to £5 than £25.

    Went to said Plumbers Merchant today. Picked up a cold cartridge, cos apparently the hot and cold one turn opposite ways and I need a cold one! Fitted said cartridge but it now works in the opposite direction to the hot. Never mind though - dripping has stopped so I'm happy.

    Cost = £4.99

    :T good for you dave. I posted as the last time I had to go looking for a specific insert it cost around £20 and I can't remember if that included VAT and postage!
