The other thing is if you have a disabled toilet at your venue use that one! As we didn't have any disabled guests at my sister's first wedding we made that sole use only for the bride....

Oooh that's a great idea! Must check if there's a disabled loo or not...added to list of things to do!

Little tip for brides who are worrying about loo thing !!!!!

I'm a 2nd time bride to be, and "before" had a dress with a big skirt and train. I was told the best way to "deal" with the dress when you need to go to the loo, is to get on the loo the wrong way round..... i.e. face the cistern and straddle the loo...

Haha, I was so amazed by this tip that I decided to try it out - not so good with jeans around your ankes :o:rotfl:

Another tip, take a little pkt of toilet wipes with you (tesco do them) . Some loo's even if it is your wedding and exclusive can be a bit icky especially if you have anything like porta loo's....

My sister's first wedding, the main loos were a bit icky and we had to get the staff to sort them out...

Get a friend or if you have employ a wedding co-ordinator then they can hold the dress out of the way whilst you use the loo. The wedding co-ordinator also keeps an eye on the loos so that if they get icky then she can tell the hotel management to send the cleaners in again (this is one of the not so glamrous part of our jobs).

Can't help with the dress sorry.

But on the toilet situation, my daughter went in forward, as she had a train on the back of the dress, and when we went in, forwards was best.

Thankfully our hotel room is just down the corridor and has a massive bathroom, so I am going there for a wee!!

NearlyMrsFord, if you are looking to put the dress on Ebay or Preloved etc, I know that when I am looking for the ladies here, I always prefer an acutal picture of the dress on a person. That tells me a lot about the way it hangs and the style, better than the stylised 'posed' pictures by the designers!

Think all the advice you need has been posted, but going off topic for a minute just wanted to say I'm so glad I'm wearing a short wedding dress!!! I'd hate to have all this mumbo jumbo over just going to the loo.
