Can you recommend a reputable online jewellery shop

I have bought gold earrings for my partner, and later she realised that she has allergy on them. The online shop claims they are completely made on gold including pins but my partner did not ever have allergy to her other pairs of gold earrings. I have sent them back for full refund but I need to buy a replacement. Could anyone recommend a reputable online jewellery shop apart from gemondo.com?

It's not the gold that's a problem, most people are allergic to nickel, and unless it's 24ct gold, there will be other metals in there, all jewellery and jewellery fittings in the UK are supposed to conform to EU regulations on nickel content.

I don't work with gold and silver, I work with plated metals, but I only buy my findings from 2 places, my MIL is very sensitive to nickel, and she has tested batches for me and didn't react to them, hence when my supplier says there is zero nickel in the metal, I know that they mean it.

You need to be asking people about the nickel content of the metal.

John Creed seem to be good. they have a shop aswell as online store. They offer advice about the types of jewelery suitable and the types they offer and are honest about the wear of particular types.

Blue Nile offer fantastic service and value in comparison to high street shops.

Hmmm, has she tried silver jewellery? I don't think there tends to be as much of other metals in it, most is .95 or higher in the UK I think. If she's fine with her other gold jewellery I'd agree it's probably the Nickel, not the gold.

I presumed though that she's still wearing her other gold jewellery without issue. :D

OH bought me a ring online from a jewellers called Chapelle after we had seen their shop at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth:

He said their service was excellent and I have to say the packaging etc. was fantastic.
