If you have any doubts it's genuine, then find a phone number for them yourself, or go to their website directly i.e. don't click the link in the email.

Don't speak to anyone who phones you - you phone them (and with a number you've found independently, not one they give you to call them back on). Even with just a general enquiries number you will get through to the right department in the end!

This assumes you actually want to talk to them of course...
Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard

It is unusual that phishing emails include any personal information. If you are still doubtful than follow the advice given above to call a number for the bank that you are sure about (try the branch number) and ask them if the email is genuine.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

That is the correct number for RBS Collections.

Rbs always include the last 3 digits on my account number on my emails about statements so if they are right I guess it could be genuine...

If you aren't sure, call normal customer service and ask to speak to collections??
