Settled Accounts - How long do they stay on your Credit Report

Hi Everyone,
Thought I'd pick your brains about something I've been wondering about recently.
Firstly, How long will a "Settled" account stay on my Experian Credit Report? I have a couple of seetled accounts (Credit Cards & Mobile Contract). None of them ever had any late payments or anything, so wondering how long they stay on.. I presume it's not 6 years?!
Secondly, do lenders look at the ammount of settled accounts and take that into consideration when I've applied for products? Basically I've closed 2 Credit Cards and switched Mobile opperaters due to poor customer service... but when applying for products in the future, will lenders care if there are settled accounts (one's with no adverse history)?
Cheers,
Tom

A settled account will stay on your file for 6 years. A settled account will be seen as positive by a lender as long as the account was well run.0
