Sent phone to environphone perfect..come back damaged

Hi all,
Wondering if anyone can advise me if I have any comeback with this.
I sent off a perfectly fine, working and good condition Nokia 5800 less than a year old to Environphone...I sent it using their Collect+ service which they advised I should ( as they said it was insured).
I got an email saying the LCD screen was damaged and they would only give me £19 as appose to the £80...so I asked for the phone back.
Two weeks later it has arrived, doesn't even look like the same phone (didn't write down the IMEI stupid I know), its really scuffed and the inside of the LCD is cracked.
Do I have any come back from this at all? Will they just say it was damaged in the post nothing we can do?
I have no idea how the phone has become so rough and rugged in the couple of days it went from a secure insured courier to their office...

Can't you contact the company you had the contract with when you were using the phone and ask them for the IMEI? Can't really be any more help I'm afraid.0

Do you still have the box it came in?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I assume it is an old contract handset? in which case the IMEI will be on the paperwork.
sounds to me like they've got their handsets muddled up (easily done, and often innocently) and have identified a different one as yours.GREENS M'SHIP OFFER NOW CLOSED SO PLEASE DON'T ASK ME!Olympic Debt-free Challenge £2150/£11900 = 18.0%NOW INVESTIGATING AN ALTERNATIVE TO MY IVA - I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ONE ANY MORE!0 -
Checked it, all the IMEI matches up with the sticker on the phone.
I just dont understand what they could have done to it to come back in this state...emailed them and no reply...0 -
Lesson to be had here: Always photograph items in front of a witness before sending them off and enclose a note saying you have done this.Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! For Caroline my Goddess.0
