Fed up being nice !

I try and generally be nice, but 1'm fed up now.
In the last 3 months various members of mse have been looking for vouchers,
booklets etc and i have sent off stuff to them.
Is it too much to ask for a pm to say they have got it.
I am not doing it for the 'thanks', but because if i can help someone i generally will. Each time i have sent them a pm saying 'hi, did u get the stuff'.
Thought it would be the decent thing to reply to me...
So thats it, any more vouchers etc that i have extra i'll just throw them away !

While I agree with you that people should at least say thank you just be aware that some people do not know what a PM is and how to access it. This has happened to me in the past when I PM'd someone and didn;t hear back until about 6 months later when they found out that there was a PM system (and how to operate it).
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
Thanks Ivan,
but they had used the pm to send there details.
i know its silly, but its happened 4 times. anyway thanks for replying to my post, didn't think anyone would. Have a good friday0 -
No, it's not silly, if people know about the PM system then it is very rude of them not to acknowledge receipt and say thank you. But please don't let other people's lack of manners put you off being nice as that would be such a shame; the world needs more kindness and more people like you in it

Most of us really appreciate other peoples kindness in just posting helpful stuff, let alone sending things. Not replying to pm s if they know the buttons their is just pig ignorant.Perhaps you should jog their memory by posting pm again and on the board, see if that shames them.0

I agree with the others that its downright rude not to just say thankyou.... don't let them put you off being nice even if you don't feel like putting yourself out anymore.....
